Fabric Collage Frame: Mixed Media Boho Wall Art (8x10 inches)

Mixed Media Shadow Box. "Butterfly Ascendant" is a one-of-a-kind, hand-embellished mixed-media shrine artwork celebrating transformation, inner power, and feminine awakening.

At the center is a striking portrait of a woman emerging from deep blue light, crowned with radiant energy like a halo of stars. Butterflies surround and rest upon her—symbols of rebirth, freedom, and the courage to evolve into one’s truest self.

The ornate frame is richly layered with hand-applied beadwork, sequins, embroidery, crystals, and dimensional floral elements in jewel tones of indigo, teal, plum, rose, and gold. Star motifs and celestial accents weave throughout, giving the piece a cosmic, devotional presence. Crystal drops hang below, catching the light and adding gentle movement—like blessings in motion.

This artwork feels both protective and empowering, like a modern icon honoring personal transformation and the beauty of becoming.

Mixed media picture that I made from different artists pieces to create one piece is set inside of the box/frame with Mod Podge. The pictures in which I made the mixed media picture with were found on Pinterest. One of the artists of this picture is Diego Fernandez. Some beaded material embellishments have been added to frame the picture. Picture area is 8x10 inches and 13 x 12 inches including the frame. The frame is made from heavy duty cardboard and is meant to be hung on the wall and not played with. It is delicate.

The "shadowbox" frame of the picture has been made with upcycled, vintage, beaded materials. Some imported, some local. Each piece was hand-picked and shaped to create a vintage collage look. It's colorful, eclectic, and would make a great addition to any room that you choose to display it.

The picture with frame is very lightweight and can be hung with a regular tac.
